Critical care at TRUST Hospital exists to provide acute care for those patients who are generally unstable, critically ill and those in urgent need of advanced monitoring and intensive treatments in an Intensive Care Units (ICU). These tasks are carried out with precision, synchronization and coordination of a multidisciplinary team in three ICUs with unwavering commitment and teamwork.
Our Critical care team provides a full spectrum of medical, cardiac, surgical and trauma critical care services to the sickest of the patients. The team of doctors is highly skilled and specialized in diverse specialties of Medicine and Surgery. The nursing care is focused to meet the psychological, physical and emotional needs of the patient.
Essential for the quality of critical care provided by TRUST Hospital are its facilities. Each of the 33 beds has state-of-the-art technology that enables staff to monitor patient’s vital signs continuously.
Trust Hospital is a pioneer in critical care. Emergency and trauma wing of Trust Hospital is open round the clock to meet any medical situation with fully equipped operation theatres.
Experienced doctors, well-trained nurses and qualified technicians are available round the clock and ably backed by a 24-hour diagnostic facility. We accept medico-legal Cases (MLC) at our Causality wing and treat them in our Intensive Care Units.
A fleet of ambulances fully equipped with all the life-saving equipment including monitors and ventilators ably support our center for Emergency and Trauma.
Trust hospital is recognized as a premier center of trauma care. Doctors are available round the clock to handle trauma cases pertaining to their specialty.
Further, the emergency department is backed up by, laboratory and diagnostics. The critical patients are stabilized and then shifted to the Intensive care unit / Operation Theater.
All the staff at the critical care unit, in particular, undergo periodic training. These training programs enable the emergency medical staff to handle the trauma and critical patients better.
SURGICAL INTENSIVE CARE
All patients in this area are nursed with barrier nursing, to avoid infection. Each patient has an exclusive nurse. The patient will be continuously monitored by various non-invasive and invasive monitoring devices. State of art ventilators are available to take care of the needy patients. The ICU is manned 24 hrs by an intensivist, anesthetist, and medical officer. Physiotherapy support is available 24 hours.
